**GitHub Actions** runs build, test and deploy jobs on hosted or self-hosted runners. For AWS it can authenticate with OIDC, so no long-lived keys are stored.

### Key concepts

- **Workflow**: a YAML file in `.github/workflows`.
- **Job** and **step**: units of work on a runner.
- **Action**: a reusable step.
